Inauguration of ‘Sugamya Yatra’ by NIEPVD

Dehradun, 07 February 2025 –

The National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD), Dehradun, in collaboration with the Court Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Uttarakhand, inaugurated the ‘Sugamya Yatra’ (Accessible Journey) to promote accessibility and inclusivity for persons with disabilities (PwDs).

The event was flagged off by Mr. Gaurav Kumar, Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Uttarakhand, and Er. Manish Verma, Director, NIEPVD. Participants assessed public spaces using the YesToAccess app, ensuring better accessibility. This initiative aligns with DEPwD’s national mission to create an inclusive and barrier-free environment for all.
