NIEPVD Commemorates Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti with Awareness Programme
The National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (Divyangjan) observed the 135th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. The institute honoured the legacy of the chief architect of the Indian Constitution and a staunch advocate of social justice through floral tributes and inspiring speeches.
During the programme, all participants paid heartfelt tribute to Dr. Ambedkar, remembering his historic contributions towards the establishment of social justice in the nation.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Padma Shri and Uttarakhand Ratna awardee Dr. Kalyan Singh Rawat as the Chief Guest. In his presence, the institute’s officials, visually impaired trainees, and students pledged to imbibe and uphold the thoughts, principles, and path shown by Dr. Ambedkar.
More than 150 participants actively took part in the programme and drew inspiration to work towards social harmony and equality.
