The Placement Cell was set up in the Institute in the year 1984 to develop model placement services and to identify suitable posts in the organized and unorganized sectors for persons with visual impairment. It has a Special Employment Exchange, which maintains a register of unemployed persons with visual impairment.
Persons with Visual Impairment were helped by the Institute by proving them Application (online/offline) forms for various post advertised in the employment news and through received notification from Government and Non-Government organizations accordingly.
