Placement Unit — Summary
The Placement Unit at the Institute was established in 1984 with a mission to develop model placement services for persons with blindness and low vision. It plays a pivotal role in identifying suitable jobs in both the organized and unorganized sectors.
Recognized as a Special Employment Exchange, the Unit maintains a register of unemployed blind and low-vision individuals, offering them career counseling, skill-matching, and placement support.
Job Fairs (Financial Year 2024-25)
Two Job Fairs were conducted in the financial year 2024-25.
- A Job fair 21 September 2025 collaboration with Sarthak Education Trust, Delhi Successfully49 PwDs is selected out of 212 candidates at NIEPVD,Dehradun,Uttarakhand .
- A Job fair 15th October 2025 collaboration with American India Foundation, Delhi Successfully 32 PwDs are selected out of 152 Candidate NIEPVD Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
In the year 2024–2025, the Unit:
