Certificate Course in Caregiving for Parents (CCCGP)
The National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Impairment (Divyangjan) (NIEPVD), under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment,
Government of India, has been serving persons with visual impairment since 1943.
The institute also operates a Regional Centre at Chennai and Composite Regional Centres (CRCs) to provide rehabilitation and skill development services.
The Certificate Course in Caregiving for Parents (CCCGP) is a 6-month program designed to empower parents of children with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual Disabilities, and Multiple Disabilities.
The course equips parents with knowledge, practical skills, communication strategies, and evidence-based caregiving techniques to promote independence, inclusion, and overall well-being.
Eligibility requires passing the 10th Standard. Admission is merit-based with 20 seats as per RCI approval.
The medium of instruction is Hindi and English. A minimum of 75% attendance is mandatory.
The course is free of cost, with a refundable caution deposit of Rs. 1,500.
Successful candidates will be awarded the CCCGP certificate as per RCI guidelines.
